OUR MISSION: ENDING MASS INCARCERATION

Just Impact runs the Just Impact Fund, a multi-donor intermediary fund. Donors who contribute to this fund can be confident that their money is being spent well to reduce suffering and improve lives, without having to hire up a full program team on the issue.

We spend the money towards a strategy, which we can explain and defend, informed by our expertise and relationships, and backed up by our excellent track record. In addition to running the fund, we counsel donors on strategy, produce regular memos with in-depth analysis on the field, and generally try to support donors in knowing what, where, and why to fund.

THE PROBLEM

Mass incarceration in America is a social and economic disaster.

Millions of people cycle through jails and prisons each year, and come out worse. 1 in 2 Americans has an immediate family member who’s been incarcerated. This traumatic cycle does not make communities safer and fuels deepening poverty.

THE OPPORTUNITY
